Xaisha Bailey, known artistically as Zay Monae, hails from the vibrant heart of South Los Angeles. A blend of African American and Mexican heritage, Zay is a creative spirit dedicated to showcasing the beauty and artistry found in every individual. From the tender age of eight, Zay found herself mesmerized by the power of storytelling through the lens of a camera. This passion blossomed in high school when she began her professional journey in photography. Zay captured the milestones of her peers, from headshots and senior photos to the lively moments of champagne parties, laying the foundation for her career. Her academic pursuits led her to California State University, Dominguez Hills, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in Digital Media Arts in 2018.
